25 Oct About Us
Founded in 1933 as the Marietta Junior Welfare League, the Junior League of Cobb-Marietta is an organization of 300 women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
In the decades of service to the community, the Junior League of Cobb-Marietta has founded and supported many community projects, including, the Cobb County Youth Museum, The Center for Children and Young Adults, Gate City Nursery and Sheltering Arms Daycare.
Each year, we continue the volunteer education of our existing members along with training about 20 new members to be effective community and civic leaders promoting voluntarism. With a focus on the children and families of Cobb County, our members all strive to be catalyst for community change, leaving a legacy of service.
In order to accomplish our mission the Junior League of Cobb-Marietta operates several profitable fundraisers to support the many projects in which our volunteers serve. Our membership dues, fundraisers, donations and grants provide the funds necessary for all the projects the Junior League of Cobb-Marietta supports.
The Junior League of Cobb-Marietta is committed to building a better community. Our well-trained members come alongside our community partners to provide assistance in meeting the ever changing needs of Cobb County. The League invites you to become a part of this dynamic group of women as we continue our legacy of commitment and service to our community.
