| What an honor it is to serve as President this year of the Junior League of Cobb-Marietta (JLCM). I have been a member of the league for ten years and I continue to support this organization because I believe in what we do and the impact we have on our community. Many people do not realize the Junior League of Cobb-Marietta is an organization of more than 500 women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Our League is part of the Association of Junior Leagues International which is one of the largest volunteer organizations in the world, comprised of over a 160,000 members. |

Many people do not realize the Junior League of Cobb-Marietta is an organization of more than 500 women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Our League is part of the Association of Junior Leagues International which is one of the largest volunteer organizations in the world, comprised of over a 160,000 members. Through our 77 year history we have partnered with many companies and organizations in our local community. We make a tangible difference in the lives of women and children by providing financial grants to targeted organizations serving these groups. However, even more importantly we spend time in service to these causes through active volunteer placements. It has been nothing short of a privilege to work with such wonderful community partners and such dedicated members. Finally, JLCM could not support our mission without the invaluable assistance of our sponsors and donors. Even during these hard economic times our sponsors have continued their relationship with us and supporting us in all we do. We are so very grateful for their continued support.
