The Junior League of Cobb-Marietta
What an honor to serve as the 79th President of the Junior
League of Cobb-Marietta.  Founded in 1933 as the Marietta
Junior Welfare League, the Junior League of Cobb-Marietta is
an organization of over 400 women committed to promoting
voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving
the community through the effective action and leadership of
trained volunteers.

Throughout our 79 year history, the JLCM has made a
transformative impact on Cobb County, and the partners we
serve.  That impact is also seen in our members, who are
strong women serving as powerful advocates for children and
families.  The tireless commitment of the entire membership
enables the League to address a variety of basic, critical and
emerging community needs through community projects,
grants and collaborations.
financial grants and volunteer resources to organizations in these areas.  In my ten years of
service with the Junior League of Cobb-Marietta, I am always inspired  as we continue to be
catalysts for community change, striving to build a better community.

With the valuable support of our sponsors and donors, the JLCM is able to fulfill our mission.
The assistance that is given to the JLCM allows us to continue the work that has begun as well
as discover new areas of need in Cobb County.  We are grateful for the strong support we
receive that makes our work a reality.

It is through the efforts of our members, the encouragement of our community partners and
the support of our sponsors, the Junior League of Cobb-Marietta continues to serve as a
catalyst for community change.  Whether you’re a new member, active, sustainer, community
partner, sponsor, potential member or supporting family member, or friend – thank you for
your interest in the League and commitment to our mission.  I look forward to serving with you.

All the best,
