

REQUIREMENTS OF PROVISIONAL MEMBERS
- Pay provisional dues of $158.00 with application.
Other than dues, the provisional course requires fulfillment of the following requirements:
- Attendance of all provisional training sessions held monthly during the fiscal year.
- Participation in the Provisional Class Project.
- Community Projects: Complete 2 community projects through the Done In A Day Program. Project
will be 2 three-hour shifts or 1 six hour shift. Sign ups are available at Provisional Meetings.
- Fundraisers:
- Mistletoe Market – Sell/Purchase $40 of tickets, paid by last day of Market and work 2 three-
hour shifts.
- 2008 Follies - requirements TBD
- Fund Development: Purchase $50 requirement: Annual Fund Donation or Follies ticket
- League Publications: Buy or sell 2 cookbooks or host a cookbook party AND bake one double
recipe assigned by League Publications.
- General Membership Meetings: Attend 5 of 9 Membership Meetings held during the fiscal year, one
of which may be Tri-Council Meeting.
Should any Provisional fail to complete all of the above requirements, she will be given the opportunity to
repeat the Provisional Course the following year. Any Provisional who misses more than three (3)
Provisional meetings must delay membership in the Provisional Class to the following year or resign and
be proposed again at a later date. A candidate may be proposed for membership three (3) times.
PROSPECTIVE MEMBER CRITERIA
The Junior League of Cobb-Marietta uses the following criteria for consideration of prospective members:
- Must be at least 22 years of age by January 1, 2007.
- Reside or work within a 30 mile radius of Cobb County.
- Demonstrate an interest in voluntarism.
- Have a commitment to community service.
- Show an interest in developing potential for voluntary community participation.
- Sign a contract stating that the applicant understands the responsibilities of provisional
membership.
ACTIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
Following one year of completion of provisional requirements, members’ status become “active” and the
responsibilities for each fiscal year are as follows:
- Annual dues of $108, due by April 16th.
- Community Projects: Complete 1 community project through the Done In A Day Program. Project
will be one 3-4 hour shift. Sign ups are available at General Membership Meetings. OR Complete 1
partial placement
- Fundraisers:
- Mistletoe Market – Sell/Purchase $40 of tickets, paid by last day of Market and work 2 three
hour shifts.
- 2008 Follies - TBD
- Fund Development: Purchase $50 requirement: Annual Fund Donation or Follies ticket
- League Publications: Buy or sell 2 cookbooks, host a cookbook party OR bake one double recipe

- Annual Placement: 72 Hours of Volunteer Service within placement either “in-league” or in the
community.
- General Membership Meetings: Attend 5 of 9 Membership Meetings held during the fiscal year or Tri-
Council Meeting, Mistletoe Market Gala or Follies can count toward 1 meeting
credit.
