Georgia on my Menu: A Medley of Southern Hits truly can be said to represent two
areas of life with which Georgians are intimately acquainted – the appreciation of
fine Southern cooking and the desire to have music in one’s life. Georgia on my
Menu offers a collection of the best recipes of our state, which may be used to
orchestrate a truly musical and magical culinary experience.
You might begin with Overtures and Preludes -- appetizers, beverages, soups and salads that set the tone
for a gracious repast. The Accompaniments (fruits and vegetables) and the Melodies (entrees) are enjoyed
fully in the presence of the Harmonies (breads). The Finale (desserts) merely signifies the fitting end to a
truly enjoyable event.
Two special sections of the score can also be performed. The Encore section offers a delicious array of
Sunday night suppers, which will enable all samplers to appreciate the subtle delicacy of "supper" in the
Southern sense. The Celebrities portion offers unique hints and selections from Georgia celebrities and
restaurants; these recipes could make you a culinary star in your own right!
