The Center for Family Resources
The Center for Family Resources is a private, non-profit organization founded in 1960. The CFR provides
comprehensive services and opportunities for individuals, families and communities to improve their lives
and increase their economic capacity by offering education and employment services, housing services,
direct financial services and community building programs. They accomplish this mission through the
combined efforts of leadership, neighborhood outreach, volunteer support and community collaboratives.
JLCM volunteers assist the lead facilitator with the stress and parenting life skills classes; tutor students in
reading, writing and math; facilitate or assist with training for Microsoft Office applications; and facilitate or
assist with job readiness workshops such as time management, interviewing, resume' preparation, dress
for success, etc.
